An international food court organized at Aurora’s debut GlobalFest will take place noon to 10 p.m. August 23 on the big lawn in front of the municipal building. This celebration of the city’s diverse ethnic communities features live all-day entertainment and art.

The food court showcases only Aurora independent restaurants and caterers serving authentic Filipino, Greek, Nigerian, Vietnamese, Ethiopian, Mexican and ethnic American dishes. This is “locavore” if you live in Aurora.

Here’s just a sampling of the menu:

Sunburst Grill: Filipino-style chicken adobo with rice, chicken barbecue skewers and pork barbecue skewers

Brooks Smokehouse BBQ: Smoked ribs, chicken legs, beef sausage, brisket and gator with side dishes

Pho 888 Vietnamese Grill: Spring rolls, egg rolls, noodle and rice plates with grilled meats; Thai tea, boba drinks and smoothies

Los Pastes: Savory and sweet Mexican empanadas; smoothies

Voula’s Kitchen: Gyros pita, grilled chicken pita, saganaki and pepperoni pizza

Flava: Soul food plates with chicken, hot links, or brisket and traditional sides
