ClassPass: Why You’ll Never Go to Just One Gym Again

ClassPass Denver

ClassPass Denver

Yoga, Pilates, Zumba; with so many workout trends out there, it can be overwhelming to find a routine that works for you. Roaming from one gym or studio to the next at $100-$150 a month is not only time consuming, but costly. And who can afford that!? I have always been into trying new fitness routines and studios to find the best fit for me. But one studio may offer a barre class that I love, while another offers a yoga class that I also love. How is one to choose? With ClassPass, that is an outdated notion. You no longer have to choose just one!

Here is how it works. You pay one flat fee, $79 a month for unlimited classes in the Denver Metro area. There is a three class maximum per studio, but with so many great options, this wasn’t an issue for me whatsoever. If I’m at work, I can go to a studio close to work, if I’m at home, I can go to a studio down the street. You get the jist, ClassPass is EXTREMELY convenient! Which when it comes to me and fitness, is half the battle. ClassPass is the holy grail of fitness variety and is a fitness connoisseur’s dream! You get to try the latest fitness trends or stick with the tried and true. Either way, ClassPass has you covered. You can cancel a class 12 hours before it is held to avoid the $15 cancellation fee. This time window ensures that there will be room in the class for people that can make it. Of course, life happens and sometimes you don’t know that you have to miss a class until an hour before. That is really the only possible downside I have found with ClassPass. However, that fee is also a huge motivator for me to get off my butt and actually go to class! Who couldn’t use a little more motivation in their life? With that, my excuses fly out the door and I am always glad I went to class, as opposed to regretting never going to a gym I pay a hefty price for.

The people at ClassPass were generous enough to let me try it for one month and I haven’t looked back. ClassPass won me over! There wasn’t one studio I went to that I didn’t like. Some stood out, such as Qi, BYSE4, and Kindness Yoga. But every studio has something I am interested in. With so many choices like yoga, pilates, Zumba, barre, kickboxing and many more, I know I will never get bored. The atmosphere, instructors, and class levels of the ClassPass partnered studios are a great fit for me. No more wasted money on a gym membership with a limited class schedule.

BYSE4 Denver

BYSE4 Denver

I attended a barre class at BYSE4 and the owner/instructor, Kat Egan, is great! The class sizes are small and she pays a lot of attention to her students on an individual basis, making sure they are in the correct positions and postures. Kat has a great sense of humor and her witty jokes made even the most difficult positions a little less painful. That is much appreciated when you are on minute two of chair position.

Variety is a huge fitness motivator for me, as I tend to get bored easily. That is my favorite thing about ClassPass, I can go to many of the boutique studios I’ve had my eye on, but could never afford if I wanted to go to more than one a month. Another great thing is with some classes, such as yoga, I would categorize myself as more advanced, whereas as with Zumba, I am a complete novice. The classes offered in any category range from beginner to advanced and that is a must in my book. I tried Zumba for the first time in my life, and loved it. I also stuck to my favorites, such as yoga, barre and cycling. And I won’t stop there. I have plans to get into kickboxing, pilates, TRX and more. With the typical barriers of traditional gyms or one class studios, this would not have been possible for me. Since ClassPass partners with some of the top studios in the city, I am always challenged and walk out feeling energized and pushed a little out of my comfort zone each time. Which is what I want from a fitness routine.
