Dr. Jane Goodall is traveling 300 days a year right now to spread an urgent message: It’s time to protect the planet because we are close to apoint of no return. During her Denver stop, I was able to send down with Dr. Goodall to talk about her concerns for the future and reasons for hope. Despite the grim outlook of environmental threats, Dr. Goodall believes by empowering youth, the planet can start to regenerate. Young people can take part in the Roots & Shoots program to pursue programs that will help people, animals and the environment. “I would like to see Roots & Shutes grow to every country around the world,” says Goodall. I will walk toward achieving this for the rest of my life.”
