Hot Tamales! La Sandia Tamale Festival

La Sandia restaurants in Denver Colorado are spicing up the season with the 3rd Annual Tamale Festival. Through January 31^st, you can indulge in a variety of traditional Mexican tamales made from scratch. (Tamale choices vary with fish, chicken, pork, or even a vegetarian option.

Fried chicken tamale with tomatillo salsa, Sweetcorn tamale with queso fresco, Mole pork tamale

My favorite! Served in in a molcajete with banana leaves, epazote, tomato masa,  serrano, cilantro and grilled yellow squash
