Pure Gear Powerbank 10,000 mAh Review

For those of us who rely on smartphones and other devices for communication, organization and entertainment throughout the day, there’s never enough battery power. Ever look down at your phone around lunchtime and realize you’re more than halfway to dead? It’s not a good feeling.

The answer to your short battery life woes is a portable power bank, and one of the best we’ve tested lately is the Puregear Powerbank 10,000 mAh ($59.99).

This sleek and lightweight accessory can charge your smartphone at least two times and up to three times completely, and is quite small considering the amount of power it provides. The Powerbank fits easily inside your handbag, desk drawer or glove compartment for convenient on-the-go charging, and a full charge takes only slightly longer than it would if you were plugged into the wall. And if you need to power up two devices, there are two ports so you can charge them simultaneously, a nice bonus feature. One port features more outage, ideal for a tablet or device of similar size.

The second port can also lead to  new friendships- which is just what happened to me at the airport recently when someone was shot out of luck with no outlet. I always have a little anxiety at airports knowing that I can be productive with no distractions and get to work. But outlets are hard to come by. Now I don’t have to worry about scouring the airport looking for the rare outlet.

The Puregear Powerbank functions seamlessly, and four LED lights indicate how much battery remains. Once the bank runs low, a light blinks to let you know it’s time to charge up. Recharging the bank itself does take a bit of time, but for a product that works well and carries so easily, it’s worth the wait.

Overall, the Puregear Powerbank is a solid choice for those seeking to extend the battery life of their devices. Whether you’re running around town to meetings all day or need extra juice for traveling, the Powerbank is easy to carry with you and reliable enough that you won’t have to stress about your phone dying in the middle of a crisis.

It is such a relief! I have seen some systems that are pretty bulky but love how compact and easy this is to carry. What I really need though is something to charge my laptop! At least know I know that my phone will always be in business!

This will be a must for me, in about six months.
