We all hear it.. protein post workout is key for recovery and to build muscle. Well, that can be tough, especially  on the road. And even tougher if you want clean protein. Sure, you can eat a bar packed with ingredients, some that are hard to pronounce. Or, you can take an easy way around it with protein powder, which is one of the most efficient ways to feed appetite and nourish muscles.
A new one I recently tried out is called ALOHA protein. It’s dairy, whey and gluten free. Vegan baby! And no artificial ingredients. And organic. Inside each serving is 18 grams of protein. It’s also includes something I haven’t seen in a powder before… South American sancha inchi seeds. They are dark nuts from South Africa filled with Omegas. Keeps the health benefits rolling all with one packet.
One of my favorite ways to grab a pick up post workout is taking individual pouches with me in my suitcase. This morning, I tried the vanilla flavor after working out in Fort Lauderdale at the Westin. Anxious to get on the beach it saved a lot of time because all I had to do was mix the chocolate flavor with water and I was sustained during and after and it tasted good. You know it’s good when you get to the end of the drink and want more. With some protein you are struggling to finish the cup with a chalky flavor. This is smooth and flavorful.
