How many places can offer you music, art, spirits and amazing food? At Session Kitchen, you get all of that and more. Featured art by local and international street artist, and dim lighting make the ambiance edgy and enticing. Session Kitchen focuses on bringing friends and family together to eat, drink and relax for hours on end (something that is hard to do these days). Sessioning is a commodity we cannot afford to lose.

The menu is vast and thank goodness these plates are made for sharing, because you will want to try everything. From the bread session to the cocktail session, and everything in between, there is a dish for everyone. The Fried Brussel Sprouts are to die for and makes sure you get a plate of the Mussels and Mustard. The bar is impressive and so are the bartenders. You really can’t go wrong.

What blew me away about this place (besides the food) is the atmosphere. It’s huge! And the lighting is unlike any restaurant I have been to before. They have used recycled fluorescent light bulbs to make a gorgeous lighting display over the downstairs bar (see picture above). The lights are set to music and will change with the tempo of the song. Take a look at the bar stools when you are there too. They are made from recycled bicycle tires.

There are hidden treasures throughout the restaurant. Look closely and you will find a word in the tiling of the kitchen entrance. Art from local artist and artist around the world is prominent and each piece has a story to tell. Sit at the bar and have a staff member tell you the stories within. It really is a place of exploration. Whether that be in food, drink or art. It’s not hard to get lost in the enchantment of this place.

Modern day life is stressful, treat yourself to a session.

They offer brunch service daily from 11am to 3pm. Daily dinner service is from 5pm to close. You can stalk them at facebook.com/sessionkitchen or on instagram & twitter @sessionkitchen.

Session Kitchen is located at 1518 S Pearl Street, Denver, Colorado.
