Moab, Utah is home to some of the most spectacular, scenic and challenging mountain biking in the world. You will find a combo of beautiful red rock scenery and a variety of trails that draw fat-tire aficionados from all corners of the world. You can find everything from intimidating over-your-handlebar black-diamonds to smoother trails that allow beginners to ease in.

A great starting point for those new to a mountain bike saddle is the Brand Trails– just a few miles north of Moab. The trail names, based on cattle brands, spell out Moab. The beginner terrain on the Bar M trail forms a loop that picks up the other trails along the way- including the Circle O Trail which is pure slickrock on Entrada sandstone. Those new to the sport should stick to the Bar M, Rusty Spur, and Lazy-EZ. Others require more experience when it comes to shifting and leg strength. Experts can take on Deadman’s Ridge, Longbranch, and the “Killer B” descent off the Bar B loop.
