The Revival of Train Travel

Travel by train is making a comeback. Some passengers are opting for train travel to trek across the nation- even when it means 20+ hours of travel time instead of a 4+-hour flight. Whether it’s for the nostalgia, the extra space or to take in views along the way, companies like Pullman Rail Journeys make sure it’s a comfortable ride.

Video: We met up with Pullman Rail Journeys at Denver’s Union Station to talk about the revival of train travel and why some travelers prefer rail travel over flying.

Pullman operates restored vintage rail cars and offers several destinations leaving from Chicago. On board, passengers travel first class with amenities ranging from sleeper cars, wifi and meal service in a glass domed dining room. Guests can choose to purchase packages, which include hotels and itineraries in cities, or, they can purchase tickets for travel only and set their own schedule and pace.
