Ugly Sweater Run 2012 City Park

Sporting our ugly best, we took to the streets of City Park with more than 7,000 runners for Denver’s first Ugly Sweater Run. Personal bests were not on the minds of most—instead just enjoying the festive atmosphere complete with snow machines, Christmas trees, Sam Adams beer, inflatable’s for prime picture taking, and a competitive contest for the UGLIEST sweater. Some turned to creativity after shops were fresh out of sweaters, homemaking their own with bright tinsel and glued on flowers. Even without running to get our heart rates sky-high, races like this remind us the race is about year-around fitness, fun and festiveness. If you missed out on this year’s fun there are plenty more fun events to come including the Christmas Carol Classic and the Winter Distance Series!
