Carri's December Catches
Carri’s December Catches
1. Ugly Christmas Sweater 5k
It’s not often that we wake up wanting to put on the most hideous clothing item possible and surround ourselves with thousands of people. Luckily, at the Ugly Christmas Sweater Run everyone (if they play by the rules) will be wearing something as equally as obnoxious. Sledding, Sam Adams Beer, and hot cocoa follow the race.
Saturday, December 8. City Park

4. Dixie’s Tupperware Party
Several of us have been known to avoid Tupperware parties by making up every excuse under the sun. Now playing at the Garner Galleria, Dixie’s Tupperware Party is a Tupperware party that will actually enjoy every second of. Dressed in drag, Dixie mixes in stand-up, improv, and audience participation– all the while sticking to her main goal of selling the latest and greatest in food storage.
5. Hit the trials at Chimney Gulch. Or bust out snowshoes because Colorado trails are still vibrant in the winter!
Only one mile from Downtown Golden is Chimney Gulch, a five-mile trail that hooks up to the Windy Saddle Trailhead if you are looking for more! At the top you will overlook the City Of Golden. If the steam pumping from Coors Brewery stands out the most keep drinking your water!
Directions: From U.S. 6 and Colfax in Golden, take U.S. 6 west 3 miles to the parking lot on the west side of the road.
