Review: Great Outdoors Food
Great Outdoors Foods is changing the way we think about food packing. For us, active folks, staying healthy on the go can be challenging. It is tempting to stop for junk food or pack up those processed foods so we can be out to adventure sooner than later.
It all started when the owner of the company and her husband realized all the provisions that they and their friends had to go through to prepare for an outing. Living in Los Angeles, they loved to take advantage of the beautiful trails with trips lasting for a few days. They needed a better option with all the meals and snacks already together.
Whether you are going away for the weekend or just heading up the mountain for a hike, there are options to boot.
Customized Meal Tool
With the custom meal-building tool, you can create breakfast, lunch, and dinner packages that fit your time and nutritional needs. With the planner, you will be asked to choose a main source of protein. Meat and vegetarian options are included. Prices with a short synopsis are also included right there for each product.
Then it is up to you to choose vegetables for your side, any condiments, and even drinks. Need something sweet? There is also a list of freeze-dried desserts.
You can include extra snacks if desired and there is even the option to add handy wipes into the package. After all, when you’re out adventuring, gotta clean those hands before you eat!
When you are finished with that meal, you can build another or checkout. When all completed, your order will be conveniently packaged, labeled, and shipped.
The Store
You can also shop the store to buy your favorite foods and snacks individually if this works better for you. Some favorites include Cliff and Luna bars, Kind bars, and goodies from Backpacker’s Pantry.
The Great Outdoors Food site and blog have more information and food survival tips for you to devour. Enjoy your next outing with food already packed and stress free!
