The Denver Museum of Nature & Science Presents A Party in Pompeii
TOGA! TOGA! In celebration of A Day in Pompeii, the Denver Museum of Nature & Science invites you to wrap yourself in your finest toga and revel like Roman gods and goddesses at Bacchus Raucous. The event is this Friday at the Museum. Guests will party like it’s AD 79 and enjoy live entertainment and admission to the exhibition A Day in Pompeii.
Graffiti, gladiators, and glitz await-just another raucous night in Pompeii, Rome’s vacation and nightlife hotspot. Come dressed as your favorite Roman god or goddess, or in your toga best. Your ticket includes Italian-themed hors d’oeuvres, entertainment, admission to A Day in Pompeii, and one drink at the bar.
Some Roman fun will also spill out onto the streets of Denver this weekend and next when living statues of ancient Pompeians appear around town including these locations: Larimer Square, 16th Street Mall and Cherry Creek North.

About the exhibit- A Day in Pompeii offers an insider’s glimpse into the daily life-and tragic end-of this ancient Roman city that was destroyed by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in AD 79. On display are archaeological treasures that lay buried in Pompeii’s ruins as if sealed in a time capsule. Exceptional artifacts, digital re-creations, activity carts, and historical enactors provide a fascinating look at life in the ancient Roman Empire of Pompeii.
