Ad Campaign by Colorado Tourism Office Boosts Economy
The “Come to Life Colorado” Campaign delivered an incredible economic impact to the state. Colorado Tourism Office Associate Director John Ricks shared results of the campaign in Telluride earlier this month at the Governor’s Colorado Tourism Conference. The goal of the 4.5 million dollar campaign was to encourage people to get out and explore everything Colorado has to offer. The television ads showed a series of compelling images showcasing Colorado accompanied with music by the Colorado Symphony. “Mountains were Made to Move You,” said Ricks. “-“When people come here they feel more alive. We are giving people reason to come here.”
The Colorado Office of Tourism says it is the best campaign in decades and even helped Colorado lead all 50 states when it came to marketing gains, which goes to show the power of video. The below numbers show the mega increase in return.
