Celebrate Independence Day in Winter Park
Those looking to beat the heat while celebrating Independence Day in the mountains will have plenty of events to choose from with a packed weekend of fun throughout the Fraser Valley. The activities include Winter Park Resort’s annual The Village Uncorked wine festival, this Saturday in the Winter Park Village.
Wine lovers can sample more than 50 different types of wine to pair with 10 delicious cheeses. Local artists will also be showing off their work while guests enjoy live music from Joe McDonald and the Blind Corn Liquor Pickers who flew all the way in from Lexington, Kentucky! Admission is free, but for just $25 visitors will get unlimited wine tasting the whole afternoon and a wine glass.

Thursday, July 4: 4th of July Celebration: Fraser Valley Sports Complex
An annual tradition in the Winter Park/Fraser Valley from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. that includes a community picnic, live music by DJ Michael, and fireworks.
Saturday, July 6: Run for Independence: Starts at Vintage Hotel at Winter Park Resort
Benefiting Children’s Hospital of Colorado, the Run for Independence is a 5 Mile race that starts at 9:00 a.m. at the Vintage Hotel at Winter Park Resort. Competitors will wind their way through the Village at Winter Park, down the beautiful Fraser River Trail, through green forests and open valleys, through the Town of Winter Park and will finish in Fraser. Registration is $30 for adults, $25 for those 18 and under, or $60 for families.
Saturday, July 6: Winter Park SolShine Music Festival: Hideaway Park in the Town of Winter Park
Enjoy a free concert at the first of two SolShine Music Festival weekends held at Hideaway Park in the Town of Winter Park. From 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. enjoy the sunset and great tunes from The Samples and Leftover Salmon in a beautiful, scenic setting!
