Flavor of Boulder Beer Festival Moving into Denver
The popular Boulder Beer Festival is expanding to Denver. The event has been appropriately named the Mile High Beer Festival and is set to quench the thirst of thousands August 4 at the Ogden Theater. Creators have found their niche by appealing to both music and beer lovers. Specifically, people who want to drink a variety of tasty craft beers and jam to live music simultaneously.
Denver isn’t the only place the festival is expanding to. After selling out crowds at Boulder’s Fox Theater the last two years the team is moving to the larger Boulder Theater this year. The team isn’t stopping in Colorado and plans to take their festival to different music venues across the nation. Immediately on the the list is of course Denver but the plan for next year is to tour a new city each month. to “Our goal is to bring you the best beer festival experience possible,” says festival coordinator, Chad Bratt.
G-A-B-F sells out within hours of releasing tickets. After 30 years, the world’s largest beer judging and consumer beer festival continues to astound with its ever-expanding growth. But that’s not holding back this team. The creators see other beer events as friendly competition. “Each fest is unique in its own way. Our festivals are different because they are inside concert venues,” says Bratt. “It’s almost to the point the market is saturated. But not that that’s a problem.”
There will be 70 beers from across the nation to delight your sample cups. Eighteen of those are reppin’ Colorado.
