Florence Rose Bed & Breakfast

“Enter as strangers, leave as friends.” This is the motto at the Florence Rose Bed in Breakfast in Florence, Colorado. Upon ringing the front door bell, or just stepping in the back door, the friendly owners, Andy and Steve, will greet you with a genuine smile. The aroma of homemade cookies and tea will summon you to the tricked out dining room.

They gladly offer a rundown of the historic home, which was built in 1886. At one point it was used as a hospital for WWI soldiers. The home has switched through hands of many owners since but the current proprietors have been opening the doors to guests since 2004. After plenty of renovations Andy and Steve made it bed and breakfast ready. Part of this was making sure each of the five rooms had it’s own bathroom.

The house is decorated with antiques and each room with its own unique décor. The garden bursts with colors in the summertime and is complete with plenty of outdoor furniture. A hot tub is opened where guests to can take it all in.

A full breakfast is served in a formal dining room every morning, or in the gorgeous outdoor setting dependent on weather. As you sit with the other guests, conversation is sure to spark.

The Florence Rose is the place to go for rejuvenation, antiquing in Florence, or to adventure in Canon City. Regardless of what brings you to southwestern Colorado, you will leave with new friends.
