List Of Things You Will Need For Your Next Camping Adventure
Going outside in nature is really good for you and your health even if it is just for ten minutes every day. However, camping is a whole other level. Whether you are gonna spend the time outside camping in the desert or near a lake, both will be full of different activities. Spending some time with your family or friends can be quite an adventure for some and others may experience camping as a nightmare. This mostly depends on the things you guys packed for the trip, how you prepared for it, and if you forgot any of the essentials that you must have. There are few things you will need and must have on you on any camping trip, and here is a list of them.
1. Tents
If you imagine you and your friends or family member’s camping trip sleeping under the stars and enjoying the view, sorry to break it to you, but it is not the best option. Having a tent to go inside at night or in times of emergencies is essential as it will protect you from anything on the ground that you might not be aware of. Also, it will protect you from all the insects that are outside while you are resting. Moreover, the tent can be a shelter if a sudden storm occurs and it can protect you from strong winds as well. You will also need to keep your belongings somewhere and you can leave them in your tent so you do not lose them or get stolen if there are other people in the camping area.
2. Sleeping Bags
You must have something to sleep in whenever you go camping as you are completely outside without your bed and all your pillows and blanket. Even if you have tents that you guys are going to spend the nights in, having sleeping bags is also really important. Resting in the tent without sleeping bags will surely be so uncomfortable for you so make sure to bring one since they provide you with some comfort as it is padded. In addition, they will keep you guys warm especially if you are camping near the beach or on a mountain where the temperature drops at night. Sleeping bags come in different sizes and shapes too. This is really helpful if you have kids coming along, they will save a lot of space instead of having mattresses of the same sizes for everyone. Last but not least, they are water-resistant as well so you do not need to worry if it rains.
3. Pocket Knife
A pocket knife can be used in multiple ways outdoors. Many campers will often omit it to their camping essentials, although bringing one can be extremely beneficial in your trip for a lot of reasons. You can use it to cut a rope, open a sealed package, slice food, or sharpen a stick using these grip models to make the tasks much easier for you. Seeing how useful it is, if you forget to bring your knife and none of the guys accompanying you has one, you will surely struggle a lot through the trip.
4. First Aid Kit
A first aid kit is something that should be available everywhere; in your house or car, in school, or at work in case of any accidental incidents. You will need one whenever you are going camping as it can be an adventure as mentioned before. It is expected to climb mountains or use sharp tools so an accident might happen. You need to be well prepared in these situations in order to treat any cuts or blisters before they get infected and a first aid kit will be useful for that. The first aid kit box should include a few things such as scissors, surgical adhesive, gauze, soap, and a CPR mouth barrier. Make sure to also add sunscreen to the box to avoid any sunburns from happening while hiking or walking.
If you are going camping for the first time, try not to start big, instead go to a popular place for camping that has many people whom you can call for help in case you need any. However, if you are an expert and have done camping many times before, always look for a new place to discover and have your next adventure there. Another important point is to always know what the place you are going to visit needs, in terms of clothing, temperature, tools, and types of equipment. There are many other camping essentials that are not that big yet so important to bring such as toilet paper, sufficient food, and water, or the ample time you are spending there, along with a compass and flashlights.
