Oh My Gawd Hill Climb – 10K and 10M Running Race

For some races– the name tells you everything you need to know.  In the case of the Oh My Gawd Hill Climb, get ready to feel your quads scream! The race, coming this Sunday August 25 in Idaho Spring, includes a 10k and 10-mile event- as well as the 10.6 mile “King/Queen of the competition.” The event supports GOALS, a local charity inspiring exploration in youth through multi-day wilderness river trips.

Course Description: Both 10M and 10K courses start at Courtney-Riley-Cooper (CRC) Park in Idaho Springs, Colorado and continue uphill and back down through Idaho Springs and on the Oh My Gawd Road. There will be an optional (continuation) of a 0.6 mile climb/descent to the very top of the OMG road (clock keeps ticking) for those who want to claim to be the first King and Queen of the Hill. But hurry, as you may just be fast enough to claim the King or Queen titles and win the 10 mile race too!
