Ouray hosts free Grillin-n-Chillin Festival

Free live music is always something to look forward to, but when it takes place in “Switzerland of America” the experience is even more splendid. And, it’s an inexpensive way for Front Rangers to make a weekend of it when they book a room at Box Canyon Lodge, where rates start at just $115. Ouray’s Annual Grillin-n-Chillin Festival will be held Aug. 25 from 2-8 p.m. at Fellin Park. The lineup includes  David Starr Band, Kyle Jennings and Humming House. In addition to music, the festival features beers from Colorado microbreweries, which visitors may sample for just $25. Several local restaurants and independent grillers will participate in the BBQ contest that takes place throughout the day. For the kids there’s a zip-line in addition to other family-friendly activities. The Ouray Hot Springs Pool is located right at the park, offering the chance to soak and swim with great music in the background!
