SpringHill Suites Denver Downtown Offers Beer Tasting Tour for Guests
SpringHill Suites Denver Downtown is soon launching a Craft Chronicles Brewery Tour as a unique way for guests to experience the city, all the while staying at one of the newest and most eco-friendly hotels in Denver, Colo.
Starting May 1, 2015, hotel guests can book the tour at $239 (for two people), which showcases four of Denver’s most talked about breweries in the RiNo district.
Each taproom will provide samples of their limited release beer, as well as a full pour of their favorite option. Guests are also welcome to tour each brewery. The package includes pint glasses to take on the tour, roundtrip shuttle service and a 10-ounce pour, as well as two two-ounce pours of the limited edition beers.
Once the tour wraps up, guests can wind down at the hotel bar, where local wine and craft beer are a focus, accompanied by an assortment of appetizers, salads, sandwiches and entrees.
In the lobby, guests will also notice original artwork by the students attending the nearby Metropolitan State University (MSU) of Denver. Each piece was carefully selected from a talented pool of budding artists and curated into a kaleidoscope of color that gives the hotel a stylish and refreshing ambiance.
SpringHill Suites Denver Downtown is also lauded for its energy efficiency, sustainable design features and use of recycled and locally sourced materials in construction.
In celebration of its Gold LEED certification this year, the SpringHill Suites Denver Downtown planted an Aspen tree and started an on-site garden, where Executive Chef Daniel Hyman is growing vegetables and herbs to be used throughout the hotel’s banquet and catering department.
Worm casting will be used for organic fertilizing, and coffee grounds are now disposed of in the garden’s soil to naturally repel insects and increase water retention.
As for its involvement in the local community, Denver’s SpringHill Suites has an innovative partnership with MSU, offering hands-on experience to hospitality students. The property is like a living classroom, where the next generation of hoteliers receive mentoring, training and support from the SpringHill Suites staff.
A portion of the proceeds from each stay even goes towards a scholarship fund for students at MSU’s Hospitality Learning Center.
When it comes to the rooms, they were designed with the business traveler in mind, yet they’re just as comfortable and inviting for leisure travelers, too. Additional amenities include ergonomic desk chairs, a microwave, a mini fridge, a seating area with a pull-out sofa bed and a fitness center.
SpringHill Suites Denver Downtown is also within walking distance to top attractions like the Pepsi Center, Larimer Square, Elitch Gardens, 16th Street and the Colorado Convention Center.
