The Alamo Drafthouse Rolls Out New Programming & Menu
The Alamo Drafthouse, in Littleton’s Aspen Grove, brings the restaurant experience into a movie. You can catch mainstream hits but that’s not what attracts loyal fans. It’s the original and quirky programming, which includes quote alongs (which often come with props) sing alongs and beer and food movie pairings.
There is also an onsite restaurant and bar cleverly named “The Glass is Half Full.” Well, how could it not be when we are talking dozens of Colorado craft beers on tap? Food is made fresh to order. The new menu is so/so. We tried the Avery IPA Beer-Battered Drumsticks and found them to be soggy instead of crisp. But the chicken enchiladas were on target as well as the banana bread pudding, which is topped with flavorful cherries. My eyes kept wandering over to the “Adult Shakes” where there is a Breckenridge Vanilla Porter Shake. Dinner items range from $7.75-$13. There are also smaller bites available for under $3, including doughnut holes and a breakfast taco.

And while you are here.. don’t even think about catching up with emails, texts or downloading that cool new app. The company is proud of it’s no texting policy. But the temptation will likely subside because you likely won’t have service anyway. It’s a pretty a ok feeling!
