The Denver Beer Festivus is a Beer Festival for the Rest of Us
Denver hosts more than its fair share of beer festivals. However, none of these events showcase Denver breweries quite like the Denver [only] Beer Festivus, a beer festival for the rest of us.The second annual Denver Beer Festivus, presented by Denver Off The Wagon and Imbibe Denver, will take place on Dec. 14 from 2 – 6 p.m. at the McNichols Building at 144 West Colfax (corner of West Colfax and Bannock).
“We launched Denver Beer Festivus as a way to celebrate all of the breweries in Denver proper,” said Casey Berry, founder of Imbibe. “The beauty of Festivus is if guests love a certain beer or brewery, they can visit that brewery the next day since all breweries participating are in Denver.”
“A few years ago we only had seven breweries, by the end of this year we should have 32,” said PJ Hoberman, founder of Denver Off The Wagon. “Denver is continuing to produce award-winning craft beer and Festivus is a great way to highlight the beer of our city.”
Last year’s festival featured 19 breweries with roughly 500 craft beer enthusiasts and a dance party. This year’s Festivus will feature at least 24 breweries, from established breweries beer drinkers have come to know and love, to the breweries that are just opening their doors.
Festivus attendees will sample brews from:
Breckenridge Brewery
Caution
Colorado Cider Company
Copper Kettle
Crooked Stave Artisan Beer Project
