Top 3 Winter Travel Gear Essentials
Each winter I treat myself to some new travel gear essentials before I hit the road. I try to limit my shopping to just a few items each season to keep my spending in check and also for sustainability purposes — our planet needs all the help it can get these days! So this winter I went with three super practical travel essentials: luggage, boots and an on-the-go battery charger for my phone.
1. Rose Gold from iFLY Luggage
A suitcase really shouldn’t cost more than your plane ticket, but it still needs to be well-made and hold up to the roughness of air travel these days. iFly Luggage does both with well-priced (starting at $69) but still quality suitcases in a number of styles, sizes, and colors.
I went with the Rose Gold Collection because I just loved the color of the bags – so classic and stylish. The collection comes in a number of sizes from carry-on (what I chose) to medium, large or the full set. Each piece features a number of packing compartments inside its deluxe liner as well as wheels made to last a while and great rubber carry handles. Best of all, iFLY Luggage comes with a 10-year guarantee, which is really quite amazing for the price-point.
2. Forsake Boots
I fell in love with these Forsake Boots before I even tried them on. They just looked so comfortable and so much my style — I could wear them on the trail and around town. And once I put them on my feet I was even more pumped because they not only feel great but they perform really well on the trail, especially in slick environments. The design is lightweight and breathable and the boot is waterproof (another must for winter) and the material is a cool mix of suede, nubuck leather, and micro mesh.
3. Pelican Protector EMS Charge
I’m always running out of charge on my phone so this slick new protector and recharge battery pack from Pelican is awesome. The Pelican Protector + EMSBattery iPhone Case features wireless Qi-certified charging, has a detachable magnetic battery pack that gives me up to 50 percent more power and best of all the case is designed to survive multiple drops, which is something I also do frequently!
