Visiting Universal Orlando
No trip to Orlando is complete without a visit to Universal Orlando. This is the second largest theme park in Orlando and there are many exciting things for you to experience. You can pick up universal studios theme park tickets for very reasonable prices, then experience some or all of these amazing features.
Accommodations:
- Loews Portofino Bay Hotel at Universal Orlando:
This Italian styled hotel has villas available for guests to stay in. It also offers a serene spa and fitness center. It has three themed swimming pools, and several restaurants including MamaDella’s Ristorante that offers cuisine from the Tuscany, Naples and Piemonte regions. If you want to be serenaded by musicians while eating, check this place out.
- Hard Rock Hotel Orlando:
There is a white sand beach pool, and great restaurants filled with rock n’ roll memorabilia. There is also a fitness centre and conference space. Hard Rock Live Orlando offers live music shows, so be sure to check out an exciting concert while you are visiting.
- Loews Royal Pacific Resort:
This hotel is a great place to go for people that enjoy swimming or lounging in the sun. It offers a large lagoon style pools, as well as a white sand beach that has weekly luaus. Amenities include a conference and business center, a fitness center and a several restaurants. Be sure to check the famous New Orleans’ chef Emeril Lagasse’s restaurant: Emeril’s Tchoup Chop.
- Loews Cabana Bay Beach Resort:
This is the newest hotel and it was just opened in March of 2014. This exciting resort is decorated with a vintage theme and offers 1800 rooms for guests to stay in.
- Loews Sapphire Falls Resort:
This will be a brand new resort. It is scheduled to open in September of 2016.
Theme Parks: There are four theme parks onsite.
Universal Studios Florida:
This park has an operational film production studio where you can watch movies being made.
The park is broken into six themed areas: Woody Woodpecker’s Kidzone, Hollywood, Diagon Alley/London, World Expo, New York, and Production Central. The park also offers shopping, themed dining, and a ton of special events throughout the year.
Universal’s Islands of Adventure
There are seven separate islands with different themes. The islands: The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Jurassic Park, The Lost Continent, Marvel Super Hero Island, Seuss Landing, and Toon Lagoon and has individual rides and displays based on their theme.
Wet ‘n Wild Orlando
Wet ‘n Wild was originally created in 1977 by the founder of SeaWorld and was one of the first water parks. It has been part of the park since 1998. It has eighteen water slides and attractions at the water park. Be sure to check out Bomb Bay, The Storm, And the Surge. Wet ‘n Wild and Disco H20 and experience this thrilling water adventure:
Universal CityWalk Orlando:
This area offers great shows like Blue Man Group , restaurants that include everything from sushi to Burger King Whopper Bar, and popular themed places to eat like Hard Rock Café, NASCAR Sports Grill, Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville, and Bubba Gump Shrimp Company. There are also nightclubs, shops, a Latin Quarter, Groove, and a Bob-Marley area.
