"Taste Events" Raise Money For Boys and Girls Club
Here’s a nifty way to get a taste of some cutting edge cocktails and small bites from top Denver restaurants: Taste Events. The culinary art series have put on 5 culinary pop-up Cocktail Events this month to raise money for the Boys & Girls Club. Tonight is the last chance to grab tickets. Mixologist Mike Henderson will be crafting cocktails and pairing with food from Root Down and Linger.
“I put a lot of effort into making sure our bar programs are well balanced and don’t get pigeon holed as just ‘having good cocktails’ or just ‘having a really good local wine list.’ I want people to find that our bars at all three of our locations have an equally good beer program as we do cocktail and wine programs,” said Henderson. Tickets are $30.
Past restaurants and bars for Taste Events, included Williams and Graham with Hapa Sushi and the Wooden Spoon, Colt and Gray, the Ocenaire and Coohills, who served up Glenfiddich scotch including a tasting with Glenfiddich Brand Ambassador Mitch Bechard. “We love doing these events to support any kind of charity, especially the Boys and Girls Clubs where it’s way for children to learn about the arts,” said Tom Coohill, exec chef/owner of Coohills.
