A bit of New Orleans is coming to Manitou Springs! On Saturday, February, 9th in Soda Springs Park, fabulous Chefs will compete with their secret recipes! Gumbo begins cooking at 8:00 am. Judging begins at 10:45 with public tastings following the judging until 1Pm (or when the Gumbo runs out!). There is no entry fee for
contestants and winners will receive cash prizes & trophies. There is a Professional Division and Amateur Division. Competition is limited to 18 total entries & pre-registration is required.

Public Tastings are only two for $1.00. After the Gumbo Cook Off the Annual Mardi Gras Carnivale Parade will begin up Manitou
Avenue starting at Memorial Park. This years theme is “Lucky 13” Participation in the parade is free…. Just arrive at Memorial Park starting at noon.
