Brasserie Felix, Denver

Bisous to Brasserie Felix. This restaurant brings the taste and atmosphere of France right to the streets of Tennyson in Denver. This neighborhood joint has become a place locals admire. When you see the name Brasserie you can expect an upscale and relaxing dining environment. And Brasserie Felix delivers.

You will be greeted with a “bon jour” upon entering. It’s both fancy and casual. Crisp white table-cloths are accompanied with a Parisian atmosphere. The friendly owner and chef is present most nights and is not too shy to come say hello! A friend of mine was searching for something vegetarian and he took the initiative to make her something perfect. A pasta bowl filled with veggies and a creamy cheesy sauce.

The menu is not made to be intimidating. Many come in for the traditional mussels and frites. There are lighter appetizers such as the ratatouille and parmesan tarts. For something refreshing, try the tuna and salmon nicoise. There are plenty of options for chicken and beef, such as the beef bouillabaisse. Which is worth asking the French server to say, along with most everything else on the menu just to hear that dynamite accent!

A table by one of the wide windows is perfect for a fall evening. You may want to move visit to the quaint bar in the back for an after dinner beverage because when it’s time to say  au revoir you won’t want to leave!

It’s def. a Stacey kind of place! I want to go back to do a feature on the chef. Would you want to come with?
