Brunch Review: La Biblioteca in Denver
Nowadays, brunching is practically a sport. And there’s a new hotspot to practice your mimosa-swilling and bacon-devouring: La Bibilioteca in Denver. Originally known for its extensive tequila selection, La Bibilioteca has joined the brunch game in a major way.
There’s no better way to pass a late morning and early afternoon than with a bottomless brunch, and amazingly enough, bottomless at La Biblioteca includes both cocktails and food. Come with your stomach empty, and sample all of their 21 small plates, perfect for sharing with a group.
The bottomless brunch option is $35 with cocktails and $25 without. It lasts for two hours between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. and also features a Bloody Mary bar. But you might be better off with a “Bloody Maria” – La Biblioteca’s bartenders are the tequila experts, after all! Customize your perfect brunch beverage with more than 30 toppings and 24 hours of hot sauce. Talk about “kicking” your day off!
La Biblioteca’s menu was created by internationally-recognized head chef Richard Sandoval, and the new brunch dishes are just the latest additions to his already raved-about food.
But this is no ordinary brunch – Sandoval has put his own unique Latin and Asian-inspired twists on typical breakfast dishes. Try the savory chorizo benedict, which incorporates kimchee and chili hollandaise, the melt-in-your-mouth pork carnitas hash, or the sinfully delicious pandan waffle with strawberry-guava sauce and whipped cream. Diners with dietary restrictions will appreciate La Biblioteca’s numerous gluten-free and vegetarian options.
La Bibilioteca also offers dim sum-inspired dishes, sliders, sushi and salads, but my personal favorite dish was the ceviche. Incorporating charred pineapple, coconut milk and basil, it tasted like a tropical vacation.
La Biblioteca is located at 1610 Little Raven Street, just a short walk from the Millennium Bridge in Denver’s RiverFront park neighborhood.
