The Story Line
Beautiful music and standout acting retell this true story of hope and tragedy. Eva Perón is a charismatic and powerful Argentinian who rose from the ashes to become First Lady. Eva Perón has been considered one of the world’s most powerful, controversial and influential women. She was loved by her people as a champion for the poor, but also knocked for greed and selfishness.
The Set and Cast
Tony nominee Josh Young and Caroline Bowman star in Evita with outstanding performances. Caroline proves she’s a genuine triple-threat with her skillful song and dance numbers portraying Eva Perón herself. A bold set captures the essence of Argentina and its capitol Buenos Aires. Christopher Oram designed the set to move from the nightclub to a gorgeous palace with ease. Tango dancers move to the sounds of a full orchestra with the scenic backdrop.That bold, passionate feel pulls you into the story.
