How Incipio Cases Rescued My Phone from Waterfalls & Rain
I was a few days away from boarding a plane to Iceland and cracked my iPhone screen. I thought out just shrugging it off but in the country of waterfalls and rain I didn’t want to be stranded without communication. With a quick deliver from Incipio I realized the cracked screen– oddly– turned out to be pretty awesome. I ended up ordering the extremely durable Atlas ID case ($89.99) which is tough as nails. It is constructed to perform in all types of rugged conditions. But even if you’re just heading to and from the office every day, it’s still the perfect way to protect your phone from accidental drops and coffee spills. The Atlas ID case, which has been tested according to military standards, is waterproof, dustproof and shockproof. It can stand up to immersion in two meters of water for up to 30 minutes; and even if you drop it on concrete there’s no need to freak out or panic. The intelligent touch ID interface means your phone is still fully functional, including Apple’s fingerprint technology, while protected in the Atlas ID case. My only complaint with the case is that it was hard for people to hear me when making calls. But when I was immersed in the waters of the blue lagoon I was able to capture the moment which was worth a few rough phone calls.
If I needed to make a call, I switch out to the Feather ($24.99), an ultra thin snap-on case. While the case might look minimalistic, its level of protection is anything but thanks to a high density, ultra-light Plextonium frame. Additional features include a coated camera ring and a soft touch finish. I customized my case with the Catch Carri logo and have found it to be awesome for branding since. It’s come in handy taking group photos and also has sparked some conversations about my travel website. There are several color options available.
For everyday use, the Feather is sleek, stylish and helps you grip your phone better to avoid it slipping to its demise. But if you’re bound for adventure or just accident prone, your best bet is the Atlas ID since it can stand up to all kinds of abuse. Or of course, just pack both and switch out depending on the days agenda.
