The Kentucky Derby is a point of pride for Kentuckians. It’s a celebration, a tradition and builds community. The Derby is speed, power, victory and defeat. It is talent. It’s luck. It brings a rush of cheers from hundreds of thousands inside Churchill Downs. You will find both ends of the spectrum: Rowdy crowds sitting on coolers and heading face first down a make shift slip n slides, of course those calculating big money bets in boxes inside the track. Either way, it’s an experience. The Derby is much more than a race, it’s the thrill of a lifetime.
